What does Biodegradable mean?
Biodegradable materials are those that break down naturally in the environment when they are disposed of, and turn back into natural raw materials.
What does compostable mean?
A product that is compostable is one that can be mixed into a composition of decaying biodegradable materials, and which eventually turns into a useable material such as natural fertilizer. 'Compostable' is almost synonymous with biodegradable except it refers to solid materials not liquid.
